WOW! That dress is amazing! Looks like origami/porcupine/amazingness! :)

I love anything that incorporates origami into clothing. United Bamboo and White Trumpet are the only relatively affordable RTW labels that I know who does.

i worked on the collection in the spring of 97 that was hosted by joyce ma. most of the designers were from central saint martins (except for the japanese patternmakers). i was studying at parsons in paris and got an opportunity to work there for a season.
it was really fun to work on the silkscreen designs as well as the embroidery.
i ironed eastergrass that was later painted and torn into giant sequins to be sewn onto a wedding obi. i sewed each giant piece with a tiny sequin and a bead. they let my imagination go wild. it was inspriring and so fantastic.

Wow that sounds like an amazing place to learn Anh! Do you have any photos of the work you did? I'd love to see it!

Hi Ryuki! I remember how complicated the patterns are! You really made art and not just clothes. So many little pieces. I don't know where Koji is. I know Sharon Wauchob started her own line not too long after and was very successful.
Hi Mathilde - sorry I did not see this until now. I didn't subscribe to the updates. I do have one photo. contact me on my website and i'll send it to you.
i wish i had more photos of the silkscreen work - i cut out klimt designs that was blown up into different sizes. and created a cut out pattern that was very organic. we printed it on a pair of pants that was pretty cool.
I'm launching my own line this Spring - it's very simple and clean lines.
