for the TREE

The clocks have gone back and it's now officially winter so it's about time to start getting excited about Christmas. I'm on the lookout for some beautiful decorations for my tree. Wish I could afford to buy all of these from Anthropolgie. Why does everything I want have to be so expensive?

Mr Hare has updated his website with pictures of his lovely new Spring Summer collection. I'm still holding out hope that maybe one day these will be made for women as well so without further ado, in order of preference, here are my favourites!

The Jerry Lee - the ultimate saddle shoe. I know this style is made by quite a few brands but none of them are as beautiful as these. I really really want these!

The Burroughs in both black and tan. At first I wasn't too sure about the little studs on the back but I'm warming to them as they're quite subtle.

The Zukies. I like all the colours...

I'm also sorry to see that the Genet loafers aren't being reproduced as there aren't many loafers that get it quite right and these definitely do. I also really liked the Barretto. Just for future reference Mr Hare, thanks!

SIREN song

I spent a rather spectacular amount of money in December and as I'll be jobless come Friday night (hopefully not for long) I need to start keeping a tighter check on my reckless spending. That doesn't mean I can't have a little look at what the sales have to offer. To be honest it's been a little disappointing with the best stuff either already having sold out or just not going into the sales at all. But here are a few bits that are tempting me...

Spotted on Park & Cube. Apparently they are by Won Hundred and will be available from Urban Oufitters. I'm sure they'll probably be far too expensive for me to even get my hands on one pair but in a dream world I'd have them in both colours. Like Shini I was also reminded of these shoes. Want want want!

decisions

I've just been given some belated birthday cash... now what should I go for?

 
Classic brogues from Church's. They had these in store in the summer and they are still in stock on Net A Porter - am thinking they will have to go on sale after Christmas? Fingers crossed. Arghh damn! Just realised my size is sold out. Heart-broken!

 
Vivienne Westwood Roman 3 strap shoe. These are never going to go on sale. And they are too expensive. But I still want them!

 
Acne Pistol Short boots. Too expensive and possibly the least practical because of the heel.

 
Acne Gun boots. Again too expensive but they are simple and stylish.

All options require some additional cash from myself which at the moment is, well, difficult! So should I go for quality over quantity? And if so how do I choose? Is £350 too much for a pair of shoes, can I really justify it? The answer is probably not... I think.

cruel FATE

Lately I seem to have developed a complete obsession with shoes...  I have plenty of shoes but yet I still want more...

Case in point...

These shoes from Anne Valerie Hash have the added advantage of also being flat shoes which means I'd actually wear them.  That will only prove to make things worse when I discover their inevitable extortionate cost.  Oh cruel fate!

 

   

new SHADES

I get a feeling that I might start integrating some new colours into my wardrobe at some point soon... not going to stray too far from my usual palate of black, grey and navy though, these things need to be taken one step at a time you know!  But brown, tan and cream are definitely starting to look very attractive...

If you're after anything from the Complex Geometries line hold off until tomorrow when all stock will be available at 40% discount for just one day.  The sale begins at 12.01am New York time (that's an ungodly 5.01am London time) on the 2nd Feb.  Unfortunately I'm currently somewhat financially challenged so there'll be nothing new for me, if I did have some spare cash though I might go for the sad rainbow sweatshirt.
